Salary calculator – what should you be earning?
What does the salary calculator show?
- The salary calculator gives you an overview of the average salary for employees in the private sector, the government sector and the municipal sector.
- You can also view averages by year of graduation. Since salary increases with experience and seniority, this provides a useful indication of whether you are on a similar salary level as people who graduated the same year as you. If you are not logged in as a member, you will only see grouped graduation years.
- The salary calculator is based on Tekna’s salary statistics among members who hold a master’s degree in technology, natural sciences and mathematics. This typically includes people working as project managers, developers, advisers, senior engineers, project engineers, consulting engineers, researchers, teachers, team leaders and managers.
- If you are a member and logged in, you will be able to see salary statistics for the private sector broken down by industries such as construction, electronics and telecommunications, research and development, ICT, power and water supply, petroleum and engineering, consultancy, manufacturing, chemicals and other industries.
