How Tekna helps you

Salary negotiations for members

Tekna’s company union representatives negotiate salaries on behalf of members belonging to the local Tekna group in your organization. You’re automatically registered in the group with the employer that you’ve reported to Tekna (that’s why it’s important for you to let Tekna know if you change employers).

Negotiations usually take place during June-August in the private sector, while the public sector’s local negotiations start up in September-October. Your representative will give you information about when your local negotiations are set to start.

In some organizations there’s neither a Tekna group nor representative. If this is the case where you work, you can contact Tekna’s head office to get advice before salary negotiations start at your workplace. And if you want to help start up a group in your organization, we’ll gladly help you do that, too.

Tekna’s annual collective bargaining conferences give our representatives important information before salary negotiations start. These conferences take place all over the country during April-June. Find information for Tekna representatives (in Norwegian).
