The course covers all aspects of project planning, from overall project selection, estimating, budgeting, risk handling, and overall planning and detailed planning.
Participants will learn how to use Earned Value Management, a highly effective project control system that uses measurement tools like breakdown structures, network diagrams, schedules, budgets, and Gantt charts to ensure that things are on track.
This course is building on the course “Project Management Fundamentals”, but can also be taken as a single course.
Who Should Attend: This course is designed for individuals who have to participate in management or planning of project work - and who need to know the most used techniques for project planning. Also, anyone who are planning project like tasks should attend.
At Course Completion: Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to: • Select proper planning tools for their projects or tasks • Estimate projects and be aware of estimating pitfalls • Use the most common project planning techniques • Understand uncertainty management and risk mitigation
This course is one of three project training modules provided by Tekna. The additional modules are “Project Management Fundamentals” and “Project leadership”.
