Topics that are covered in this course are situational leadership, project management qualities, motivation techniques, team forming and development, cooperation in project teams and conflict management.
Participants will understand the comprehensive view on project leadership, and the complexity and the variety in the project manager role. Participants will further learn to define a set of key success factors and behaviors for the project manager.
Participants will further learn to analyze project teams for potential conflict resulting from cultural, functional, personality-related, or learning-style differences and minimize the negative effects that differences have on a project team.
This course is building on the course “Project Management Fundamentals”, but can also be taken as a single course.
Who Should Attend: This course is designed for individuals who will manage projects or participate in project work - and who need to be ready for the project manager role. Also, anyone who is managing teams or are participating in teamwork can take up this course. At Course Completion:
*Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to: *
- Identify suitable leadership styles for the various project phases, situations and kinds of projects.
- Manage the fourteen integrative processes of Project Leadership
- Use motivation as a tool in the project process.
- Understand team roles theory, and how to put together the optimal team based on team role theories.
- Understand conflict management, and to prevent and solve project conflicts by practicing relevant conflict management techniques
This course is one of three project training modules provided by Tekna. The additional modules are “Project Management Fundamentals” and “Project Planning”.
