The SUBSET Project: Subsurface Education for the Energy Industry of the future
Presentation of initial project results

The UiS project team will present the project and actions taken and planned so far.
Initial results of this collaborative project, to which Tekna members gave input, unveiled experienced knowledge gaps within subsurface competencies required for the energy transition. The UiS project team will present the project and actions taken and planned so far for bridging discovered gaps.
The University of Stavanger (UiS) invite Tekna members to a presentation of SUBSET, “Defining Future Subsurface Education Needs in Collaboration with the Energy Industry” which is a collaborative project with industry partners and support from interest organizations, including Tekna's local branch in Stavanger.
Read more about the project here. The project aims to increase the relevance of subsurface course content to actual needs in the energy industry of the future by establishing an arena for dialogue and collaboration between academia and industry.
This presentation will focus on the concept of the project and initial results of a survey completed by energy industry workforce in summer 2022.
What gaps did we find? How will we try to fill them at UiS?
