NOMAD: First European Conclave on MaaS

Welcome to a seminar that will summarize the experiences and findings from the NOMAD project.
Of all the challenges successful MaaS faces, cross-border issues and business models seem the toughest. Both problems are mainly related to payment/ticketing part of MaaS and the implementation of standards. These issues are tricky because public and private actors need to cooperate despite their inherently different business models, and cities and countries might work at different paces and apply slightly different policies, regulations and standards. Also these aspects face again different challenges as the “basic” information level.
There are a lot of initiatives, projects and operations going on in Europe to overcome these challenges. The EU Commission is issuing regulations, there are pilots and operations in the Benelux as well as in the Alpine Region, and the NOMAD project addresses cross-border and roaming issues between the Nordic countries.
As NOMAD draws to a close, it seems natural to sum up the experiences and findings from the relevant initiatives in a seminar.
Based on these experiences and findings, can we move on to develop more complex and comprehensive mobility services for the traveller? – And agree on an common framework for data and information sharing to help us overcome challenges?
With solid support from experts and thought leaders from Benelux, Austria and the MaaS Alliance, the NOMAD project is arranging this comprehensive seminar that will address these issues.
Logistics:
The venue for the conlave is Clarion Hotel Copenhagen Airport. The speakers will be on-site and we want as many experts as possible in the room to bring the MaaS roaming concept forward and to agree on the next steps.
Even if this is a on-site event, It will be possible to follow the conclave on-line – and to place questions in the chat.
