Leadership Breakfast: Employee Engagement
Why It's Important for Your Team's Performance

How can it be that workers leave highly paid jobs to join start-ups or small companies?
Recent studies report that over 70% of workers are not engaged or passionate about their jobs. Engagement scores have decreased steadily, and this generate problems for companies and institutions.
Leaders who can engage their teams, and start-ups or small companies with a strong and compelling purpose, are in demand. They attract followers, recruit and retain top talent and significantly boosts team performance.
There are evidence-based techniques we can apply to increase engagement and performance in ourselves and in our teams. The lecture will cover the three drivers of engagement, and how we can use these to activates employees seeking systems, resulting in impressive results and job satisfaction. We will also discuss why this is getting increasingly more important in today’s working environment.
Key sources for the lecture are renowned scientists like Daniel Cable, Carol Dweck, Martin Seligman and Adam Grant.
This breakfast meeting will give you professional input, tips and practical tools.

LEADERSHIP BREAKFAST
This is part of a series of breakfast meetings aimed at new leaders and is held once a month (usually in Norwegian). We want to invite curious and engaged new leaders to learn about leadership, share experiences and make connections. These meetings are a result of a collaboration between Tekna's premium course department and the district office of Oslo.
