StreamingOn 17th October, Tekna’s network for developers hosted a career night in celebration of Cybersecurity Month. Attendees got up close with Martin Hettervik, Pia Bauspieß, and Johan Paramanathan, three leading specialists in the security field, as they shared their personal career journeys, day-to-day roles, and valuable tips for anyone looking to break into this dynamic industry.
From learning about the tools they rely on to discovering the challenges they navigate, participants gained insight into the world of security careers. Plus, they heard about current job openings directly from their organisations!

- Pia Bauspieß, Junior IAM Consultant
The talk will give an introduction into IAM and the opportunities a career in IAM offers after academic life, with a focus on transitioning into industry out of a PhD position.
- Martin Hettervik, Chief Consultant at Atea
A short history of how I stumbled into the world of security monitoring, and what I do, how I do it, and the problems I solve on a normal day. I'll also share some tips for free training in my field (possibly to spice up your CV), for those interested.
- Johan Paramanathan, Cyber Security Advisor
A lecture focusing on experiences from technical and leadership roles in cybersecurity over the past five years, as well as career tips for succeeding in interviews.
