His Majesty King Harald V was appointed an honorary member of the association in 1962 by his father, King Olav.
Over the years, the King attended numerous professional and social events organised by the association and expressed a strong interest in Norwegian value creation and technological development.
– We are grateful for and deeply impressed by his many years of service to Norwegian industry, as a door-opener for Norwegian technology companies seeking to enter new international markets, says Elisabet Haugsbø, President of Tekna.
She also highlights the King’s significant contribution to inclusion, diversity and equality in Norwegian society, as well as his lifelong commitment to the people of Norway.
– The King will be deeply missed by Tekna’s members as well, says Haugsbø.
