These include environmental science, Arctic logistics, indigenous communities, tourism, emergency response, or regional development—just to name a few that are directly linked to the example ideas provided under the theme.
Why join
Take part in shaping the future of the Arctic through space technology. This hackathon offers you the chance to work side by side with talented peers, industry mentors, and experts to develop impactful digital solutions using satellite data.
Compete for a cash prize and the opportunity to secure a summer internship at KSAT, a leader in satellite services and space sustainability.
All participants will also receive a certificate of attendance, showcasing their commitment to innovation and collaboration.

Example ideas:
- Support for fisheries, reindeer herding, Arctic agriculture
- Tracking extreme weather and climate change
- Improving logistics and transport in sparsely populated regions
- Tools for indigenous communities (e.g., Sámi)
- Satellite-supported communication and emergency response systems (design a digital alert or support system that helps emergency services, search & rescue teams, or local communities by using satellite-based tools like weather data, GPS signals, or communication systems).
- Improve tourists experience in a sustainable way
- Area planning
- Infrastructure monitoring
- Tools for attracting talent and young professionals to remote regions
