Through HackCon Online, you can attend webinars with cybersecurity experts and learn about current security issues. The conference is a non-profit initiative brought in partnership with some of the biggest players in Norwegian cybersecurity, and is open to IT professionals and anyone interested in learning more about the field.
One of the webinars we offer focuses on the cybersecurity skills gap and how these skills should be cross-disciplinary to address the increasing threats in the world. Elisabet Haugsbø and Marius Muench, two leading cybersecurity experts will lead the discussion and there will be an opportunity to ask questions in the end.
In Norway, there has been an increasing need for cybersecurity specialists due to the increasing digital transformation in society. This applies to both public and private sectors, and it is important to have a sufficient number of qualified specialists to meet the increasing threats and challenges.

Elisabet Haugsbø holds a Master's Degree in Engineering and Cybernetics from NTNU and Executive education Digital Technologies at University of California Berkeley, HAAS School of Business. She has also been elected amongst Abelias "Top 50 women in Tech" in 2018 og 2019 and she is passionate about how technology can make the "impossible" come true.
Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam
Marius is a postdoctoral researcher at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. His research interests cover (in-)security of embedded systems, as well as binary and microarchitectural exploitation. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Sorbonne University and a Masters Degree in Telematics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. His research spawned various open source projects, such as avatar2, a framework for analyzing embedded systems firmware, and FirmWire, a platform for identifying security vulnerabilities in cellular protocol stack implementations used in modern smartphones.
SINTEF Digital Oslo
Filippo Remonato is a mathematician with a double PhD in Mathematics from the Norwegian University of Science and Techonology and the University of Pavia. Since 5 years he has been doing research in Sintef in applied machine learning and is passionate about the impact of ML/AI in both science and society.
