fib International Symposium on Conceptual Design of Concrete Structures Oslo 2023

fib has recognized the importance of conceptual design to solve the challenges of the future. Let’s meet in Oslo to be inspired and to learn from each other!

Main themes for the symposium are innovation, sustainability and circular economy. We believe that a mindset of conceptual design is vital to solve the present and future challenges and to seize opportunities to change. You might think that your project is outside the scope of this symposium, but is it? Conceptual design has a wide definition. Your project or research results regarding execution, materials, design or digitalization might be of great inspiration to others. We encourage you to submit your abstract within the new deadline February 10th.

The fib CD2023 Symposium will take place in Oslo at the very creative and inspiring venue Salt with immediate access to the Oslofjord and to the city center. Within a short walking distance you will find the award winning Deichmann Library, The Opera and the Munch Museum. Nearby you will also find dozens of sauna boats and the popular Sørenga Boardwalk where you can take a refreshing dip in the Oslofjord.

The program will include keynotes, presentations, workshops and a field trip in the city center. Our social program will be informal and fun and will give you good opportunity to network and mingle.

Our vision is that by meeting fellow colleagues, discussing research results and projects and learning from each other we can all be inspired to solve the present and future challenges by using our skills and be even more clever than before. Do not miss this opportunity!

1. Full Paper issued by 27. of March 2023
2. Approval of full paper issued by 20. of April 2023
3. Acceptance of full paper will not be given before full registration fee is paid
4. The registration deadline is 25. of April 2023
