    Marie graduated from a French Engineering school in Physics in 2018, she have started her PhD november 2018. The aim of her PhD is to increase the accuracy of Wet-Gas metering with the use of Venturi technologies.

    Chinello Gabriele

    Head of CCUS

    Gabriele specialises in single-phase gas flow measurement and in multiphase flow measurement, with a focus on differential pressure meters. Before joining TUV-SUD NEL, Gabriele carried out experimental work on two-phase boiling flows at the University of Pisa, and CFD work on stratified two-phase flow at TU Delft. As part of his PhD Gabriele built a low-pressure multiphase flow facility at Glasgow Caledonian University and carried out both experimental work and modelling work on two-phase flow metering with differential pressure devices.

    Kjetil is chief scientist within measurement science at NORCE. He holds a PhD in Applied Physics from the University of Bergen.

    Kjell-Eivind Frøysa

    Kjell Eivind is professor in measurement technology at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, Bergen, Norway and Special Adviser at NORCE. He joined Western Norway University of Applied Science in 2015. Before that, he worked 22 years at CMR (now merged into NORCE). His main interests are within flow metering, acoustics/ultrasonics and subsea measurements. He has participated in several project related to flow metering. Examples are development of ultrasonic flow meters, development of uncertainty models for custody transfer metering stations, methodology for CO2 reporting from flaring and evaluation of flow metering set-up at specific metering stations.

    Pico got a Bachelor degree in Applied Science in 1989 and worked in different fields of factory automation and process industry. Pico joined KROHNE in 2001. After working in the field of liquid flow metering for nine years, he became product manager for ultrasonic liquid metering systems in 2010. In 2020, he became product group manager responsible for ultrasonic flow meters both in liquid and gas custody transfer metering.

    Jos van der Grinten

    Jos studied Applied Physics at the Eindhoven University of Technology. His Ph.D. was on acoustic wave propagation in porous media. He has more than 30 years of metrological experience in the field of primary standards, uncertainty analysis and industrial flow measurement processes. Jos worked as a chief metrologist at EuroLoop where he was responsible for the metrological product quality of the calibrations of both industrial gas flowmeters and industrial liquid hydrocarbon flowmeters.

    Since 1 June 2017 Jos is scientist at PTB where he works on the uncertainty analysis of high-pressure test facilities, calibration of industrial gasmeters, intercomparisons and quality management. He is contact person for EuReGa, where four national metrology institutes work together in the field of high-pressure gas measurement. Jos is member of the Steering Committee of "EMN Energy Gases" in the European Metrology Networks

    Henk Riezebos

    Henk is an internationally recognized expert in gas flow metering and acoustics in gas applications with 30+ years of experience in the gas industry. Henk has the last five years worked to set up Technology Qualification systems for flow meters and has been active to determine velocity related consequence of hydrogen and hydrogen mixes with natural gas on gas assets and qualification of flow systems in renewable gases

    Mahdi Darab

    Mahdi has a background in Chemical Engineering, Oil and Gas Processes and also postgraduate education in Materials Science and Engineering. He has been a key multiphase flow metering (Vx Technology) expert at OneSubsea/SLB for the past 8 years. His work lies at the intersection of optimal Vx operation, production analysis and data-driven reservoir management.

    Enrico Feltresi

    Enrico is a Physicist and Data Scientist at Pietro Fiorentini (Italy). Enrico is part of the Multiphase Flow meters R&D department. His work includes the development of both physical and data driven/machine learning models. He is involved also in software design, MPFM testing and validation phase. Enrico has been a researcher in Particle Physics at different universities world-wide (USA and Europe). After the graduation at the University of Padova (Italy), he obtained a doctorate in Physics at the University of Dortmund (Germany).

    Otilia Dinu

    Otilia has a MS degree in “Science and Technology of Advanced Materials” from the Faculty of Physics, Babes-Bolyai University, Romania. She has been working with Emerson for 9 years from the Cluj-Napoca, Romania Emerson office. My work involves validation of measurement data, uncertainty calculations and allocation systems review. Otiia is also responsible for testing, providing technical support and developing calculations and specifications for metering applications.

    Gavin Munro

    Gavin began his career, cementing with Halliburton, quickly progressing to become a widely recognised product innovator in their flow measurement division. Having spent 20 years with Halliburton, this division was divested, eventually becoming Cameron Measurement Systems, where Gavin had climbed to global technical authority on liquid and gas flow products. He decided to leave and form GM Flow Measurement Services Ltd in 2014, successfully launching several niche flow products targeting specific customer requirements. Gavin holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering and a PG Cert in Marketing from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen.

    Anwar Sutan

    Anwer has an Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Institute of Teknology, Bandung Indonesia and a Master of Business Administration from Robert Gordon University, UK, specializing in Oil and Gas Management

    Anwar is the founder of i-Vigilant and the inventor of GCAS. GCAS is GC condition based monitoring software that is widely used in the UK North Sea. He currently work as director in i-Vigilant, overseeing the support of the GC data monitoring, services, and training of GC with the use of GCAS.

    His key qualification is within the Gas chromatography data analysis. Anwar has filed three patents application for methods to analyse gas chromatography and sample let down system and so far. I have one of the filed patents granted on the GC uncertainty calculation method. This method is now embedded into the GCAS software.

    Carsten Hersberger

    Carsten is a research assistant at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Northwestern Switzerland at the Institute of Thermal and Fluid Engineering, where he also completed his Master’s degree. His work focuses on fluid dynamics of two-phase flow, in particular its quantification and the separation of moisture. His favourite research place is on the sea, while sailing.

    Presently a part time research student (MRes/PhD) at RGU Aberdeen (Engineering) investigating potential changes in the design of USMs for condition based monitoring. Full time role involves regulatory inspections of fiscal measurement systems.

    Behzad Nobakht

    Data Scientist

    Behzad is a data scientist at TÜV SÜD National Engineering Laboratory, currently working on data-driven strategies to develop Condition-Based Monitoring (CBM) solutions for use in industry.

    He has a PhD in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot-Watt University. Before that he completed a research internship at Total E&P Pau, France. He also has a Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from Polytechnic University of Turin, and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology.

    Behzad is also responsible for automation of workflows using machine learning and advanced statistical methods for CBM modelling with realistic uncertainty quantification of predictive models.

    Dr. Pinguet has worked for TÜV SÜD National Engineering Laboratory since 2017 and is based in Southeast Asia (Malaysia) to develop the organization’s international exposure. He has more than 30 years’ experience in single and multiphase flow measurements, from downhole to surface applications, including the sub-sea environment. Bruno is recognized as one of the foremost leaders in the multiphase flow metering through knowledge sharing, conference presentations, books, publications, and technical advice.

(in Process, Energy and Mechanical Engineering) Experience in Fluid dynamics and flow measurements in close pipes and open channels, furhter he has experieces from Fluid-particle multiphase behaviour in fluidized bed columns as well as in Modelling and simulation of dynamic systems including reactors

    Sakethraman Mahalingam

    Sakethraman works on developing sensors for measuring hydrocarbon flow and composition at Aramco. He graduated with a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, USA and worked for the Baker Hughes/General Electric (GE) for about 15 years before joining Aramco Overseas Company, Aberdeen in 2018. At Baker Hughes/GE, he was involved in the development of the GE Safire™ Multiphase Flow Meter and permanent downhole sensors. He serves as a member of the Committee of Petroleum Measurement at both the American Petroleum Institute (API) and the British Standards Institution (BSI). He serves as an Associate Editor of the Elsevier Journal of Measurement and the IEEE-CPMT journal. He has over 30 patents and publications.

    Dennis van Putten

    Dennis van Putten works for DNV as a principal specialist in (multiphase/wet gas) flow metering. He holds a PhD in fluid dynamics and is mostly involved in R&D projects for metering and focuses on the fundamental physics of (multiphase) flows and flow meter performance testing.

    Aart is responsible for the certification of Emerson products in Europe (also to be used in other world area's) with the focus on the performance of flow products. Working 40+ years in (legal) metrology at Dutch W&M and Emerson and, involved in many projects, dealing with the introduction of the Coriolis technology in many applications. Examples: hydrocarbons incl heavy fuel ; two phase flow ; (compressed) natural gas, ethylene, etc and ensuring benefitial calibration via water transferability. Also member of (inter)national standardization committees such as ISO and OIML.

    Mark has an Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College, London. He has worked in oil and gas measurement since 1977 developing key technologies whilst the Managing Director and later owner of Jiskoot Ltd. that have become the benchmarks in crude oil sampling. Marke is a 40 year veteran in development of the ISO 3171, API MPMS Chapter 8 (Vice-Chairman of API MPMS Chapter 8.2) and EI 476 (formerly IP Chapter 6.2); he also currently serves as Chairman of the ISO TC 28 SC-2 committee (Measurement of petroleum and related products) that has developed and manages 50 standards and is always looking for national experts to volunteer to assist in this work! He also has roles in the industry advisory boards of a number of universities, a pension trustee and school governor.

    Kjell Rune Toftevåg

    Kjell Rune holds a MSc degree in Industrial Instrumentation from the University of Bergen. He has over 18 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, within product development, multiphase flow measurement, subsea control systems and managed pressure drilling. He started his career with development and installation of multiphase flowmeters with Flowsys AS. In 2005 he joined Hydro as a senior subsea control system engineer. In 2008 he moved on to Aker Solutions SLS as manager for the engineering department before moving on to Enhanced Drilling in 2010 as Vice President for product development and technical support. He joined Xsens in 2017 as Vice President Products

    Augusto Proenca da Silva

    Over the past 10 years, Augusto has worked as a metering engineer on the development of several flow metering systems for Petrobras pre-salt FPSOs. With a with a master's degree in metrology and extensive knowledge on legal and technical metering regulations, he has been the project manager for Petrobras Metering Management System and coordinator of Brazilian Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels Institute (IBP) metering group interfacing directly with Brazilian regulatory agencies and other oil and gas operators.
