Can I apply for membership?
Professionals holding a Master’s degree (or the equivalent thereof) in which science or technology disciplines comprise a main component are eligible for membership in Tekna.
Who can join Tekna?
Anyone who holds or is pursuing a Master's degree with a concentration in any STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) subject is welcome to apply for Tekna membership.
Standard application
If you’ve completed a Master's degree comprised of a minimum of 120 credits in a STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) subject, you can submit a standard application.
Student
If you’re a student and plan on completing a Master's degree comprised of a minimum of 120 credits in a STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) subject at the Bachelor's/ Master's degree level, you can become a student member.

Education from abroad
If you have foreign educational credentials, you are welcome to submit a standard membership application. When processing these applications, we base our evaluations on the guidelines provided by the Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (NOKUT). We’ll contact you if we need any documentation. If you have a NOKUT statement confirming that your educational credentials correspond with a Norwegian Master's degree, you can attach this statement to your application form.
Special admission
If you have an undergraduate degree (for example, a Bachelor's degree) but believe that you’ve acquired competence at the Master's degree level through continuing education and/or work experience, you can apply for special admission. The Tekna Admissions Council will process your application.
