Welcome to Tekna´s 10th international conference on Produced Water and Injection Management.
The conference is a important forum for technology update and to improve your knowledge and understanding of produced water issues. By attending the conference you will be better equipped to meet the challenges faced by the industry, now and in the future
Industry challenges
Produced Water is increasing on the Norwegian Continental shelf as more oil fields evolve. Produced water management is now a major environmental, as well as an economic, issue for both operators and regulators from around the world.
With OSPAR clearly pursuing a risk based approach for the management of produced water in the North Sea, do we really know what a risk based approach is?
What options, impacts and implications will such an approach have on our produced water
management strategic planning and technology developments?
Program focus 2011
The committee intend to extend the scope of the conference. In addition to the traditional PWM issues,
we wish to focus on: Polymer Flooding, Fracturing , Waste wells, Drilling issues (kax- etc), Reservoir integrety, Reservoir Souring, Water shut off, Corrosion etc.
Who should attend?
The event is designed for those who are concerned with produced water treatment, management and handling such as regulators, operators, service companies, technology and equipment suppliers as well as consultancy and R&D organizations.
